New Marau Sound trail

The Conflict Bay Lodge supports five young people to develop an 8 kilometres jungle trail to the Marau Sound mountains.

The new owners of the trail are members of the local owning tribe which the operation will occur in their land.

"We want to encourage local partnership through such linkages to give more benefits to resources owners and also the lodge. And that is a beautiful thing about rural tourism development"- Conflict Bay Lodge Marketing Manager.

This exciting project will offer trail tour packages for the visitors- from whole track tour, sunset trips, cultural sites and village tours, bird watching trips, orchid watching, and local dishes tastes.
