COUNT ME IN CLASS INITIATIVE
The Conflict Bay Lodge Managing Director and owner, Elijah Maumamura never fails his press statement. He once said though he is a tourist operator but he is still a part of the communities his eco lodge operates among.

Just two years of operation, the Conflict Bay Lodge has initiated an educational support program to support few families with most of the children never been to primary education. The parents themselves are illiterate.

"We have encouraged our relatives with many children who never attended primary education to send them to school. It is our obligation as members of these communities to advocate for education to all children", said Elijah.

So far 15 children benefit from the Conflict Bay Lodge education scheme. Five are in high schools and 10 are attending primary school at Potau community school.

Elijah said his vision is to see this scheme will expand to other children who have the potential to go further but cannot make it because of financial difficulties.

To our guest and potential guests- in a way of your appreciation to the communities; the Conflict Bay Lodge counts on you to support us to make this vision to go the long way.

December 2013, as part of our second Anniversary, a Conflict Bay Lodge COUNT ME IN CLASS FOUNDATION will be launched. A donation box will be available at the lodge lounge for the guests to donate their spare coins- they will help many more children to go to school.

Tagio tumas!
